Welcome to the Office of Religious Life
The Office of Religious Life (ORL) supports all members of the Princeton University community, of any religious identity or of none, in answering for themselves their own questions of how to find meaning and how to live. We provide, or support, religious services in various traditions and denominations for the University and the broader Princeton community. We offer pastoral counseling, interfaith dialogue, fellowship opportunities, meditation, yoga, performances of sacred music, lectures and panels, conferences, and trips abroad to learn about religion and social change. We explore the intersection of religion with many contemporary issues, such as forced migration and the refugee crisis, mental health, racial justice, gender identities, and other critical public conversations of the day, often in partnership with other offices, departments, or organizations. Located in Murray-Dodge Hall in the center of campus, this warm inviting space houses the deans and staff of the Office of Religious Life as well as a number of campus ministries. Murray-Dodge Hall provides a much-loved community space where we serve cookies and tea every day to anyone who wants to stop by, along with spaces for prayer, meetings, programs, and quiet study. Open daily during the academic year. Please see the University's Visitor Policy for the latest information about visiting campus.

Diwali at the Chapel
On November 6, the Hindu Life Program hosted an evening of devotional music & dance, worship, and spiritual reflection, in celebration of Diwali, Hinduism’s Festival of Lights. This year’s Diwali at the Chapel included offerings from PU Swara, Naacho, and the students and staff of Princeton University. We are so excited to be able to share the full video recording of the evening with the ORL community!
Silent Vigil
In early 2021 the Office of Religious Life created a memorial to the growing number of people, beloved by Princetonians, who were dying of Covid. This video captures the first stage of that project. May their memory be a blessing.
Gratefully,
Alison Boden and the ORL staff
