Project Downtown

Project Downtown (PDT) is a student service initiative that meet regularly to make and distribute food in Trenton. The group is intentionally religiously diverse, and at times will choose to discuss their religious understandings of poverty, and responses to it. PDT was originally created by the Muslim Student Association. After many years of success, PDT was re-created in 2013 by an interfaith group, led by Princeton Hindu Satsangam (PHS) and South Asian Student Association (SASA) to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi's Birthday.

The group currently makes approximately 160 sandwiches per session, and distributes food to the Trenton Salvation Army.
