Dr. Jeffrey Long, Department Chair of Religious Studies, Elizabethtown College and author of "A Vision for Hinduism: Beyond Hindu Nationalism" in conversation with Vineet CHander, Coordinator for Hindiu Life, Princeton University.
The Bhagavad Gita is celebrated as one of the world¬'s greatest wisdom texts and is foundational to the Hindu faith. And yet, an edition of it was compared to Hitler's Mein Kampf and may be banned in Russia as ¬'extremist literature¬'.
The incident sparked international outrage, threatening to strain ties between Russia and India. Meanwhile, some Hindus have attempted to have the Gita declared India¬'s national book.
What happens when the boundries between religion. politics, and nationality blur?
