Additional Information: The Office of Religious Life at Princeton University is honored to announce

a prestigious new civic engagement opportunity for returning undergraduate

students. The fellowship has the personal and involved endorsement of the

Dalai Lama himself. It carries a stipend of $10,000 to support work that

may be done over a period of several months to one year's time. It provides

lifelong membership in a select community of Dalai Lama Fellows from around

the globe. The Dalai Lama Fellowship supports a student project in one of the four following areas, each of which is of particular concern to His Holiness the Dalai Lama:

1. encouraging cross-cultural and inter-religious communications and understanding

2. mitigating income and wealth inequities

3. diminishing violence

4. promoting environmental sustainability
